Volunteer Experience & Important Causes

THE IF PROJECT
The IF Project was founded on the premise of one question: “If there was something someone could have said or done to change the path that led you here, what would it have been?”
As of 2015 in the U.S., there are 7.3 million people in prison, jail or on probation/parole; a million of them are women. The IF Project is a unique collaboration of mentors working with formerly and currently incarcerated women in conjunction with law enforcement personnel. Together, our goal is to affect change for those who are facing issues and challenges regarding incarceration and recidivism. Our work is built upon — and inspired by — women sharing their personal experiences surrounding the issues of incarceration. The IF Project encourages the team to speak up, answering the one question that could help prevent future generations from following in their footsteps.
We are striving for the level of success and establishment of a focused trajectory for the Mentees, as they experience reentry. In 2014, I was honored to become a mentor to a woman before and after her release from the Washington Corrections Center For Women (WCCW) in Gig Harbor, Washington.

KANSAS CITY HOSPICE
It's difficult to convey how much my experience at the Kansas City Hospice house truly means to me. I volunteered here from 2009 to 2012 and found tremendous peace in being able to offer patients and their families support and comfort at this crucial stage in their lives.

HUMAN RIGHTS CAMPAIGN
What started out as a monetary donation once a year quickly became a powerful, important part of my everyday life. HRC represents a grassroots force of more than 750,000 members and supporters nationwide. HRC envisions an America where LGBT people are ensured their basic equal rights and can be open, honest and safe at home, at work and in their communities. I am so very proud to be a part of such an important personal cause.
Client/Colleague Testimonials
“Amanda was an amazing asset to my team. Her attention to detail is great and needed to be for the position that she was in at Argus. She lead mid to large sized projects from the business side where she interacted with IT personnel, project managers as well as the client and often times at the same time. She was able to facilitate these conversations without hesitation or issue."
Angie Griffith, Client Services Manager, Argus
“Amanda was detailed oriented and extremely organized in her role of engagement leader. She ensured that her clients' issues were getting addressed to the best of her ability. If challenges appeared, she wasn't afraid to facilitate the difficult discussions necessary to keep the ball rolling. She would be a great addition to any team for both the client and the company."
